SCHOOL LUNCH

For the past 12 years living in my school district he school lunches have been obscure, unhealthy, and unfit portions for elementary sudents and highschool students. The school lunches have included frozen premade pizza, frozen premade hamburgers, uncooked pasta, hot dogs, uncooked french fries, "taco salad", popcorn chicken bowl, cold deli sandwiches, pb&j sandwiches, baked ziti, chicken parm on a hot dog bun. These lunches are not only small in portion size but are also low cost and sometimes uncooked. The lunchladys take the packaged food out of its packaging and put everything in the oven and use incorrect temperatures which leaves the food uncooked and sometimes raw.

BOYS HOME GAME

To eldred its vasisty basketball games a full of school spirit from the elementary kids to high school students, even previous graduates and parents attend these games . Last Monday the JV girls, varsity girls, JV boys, and the varsity boys versed Chapel Feild at home. During the game i noticed that my self and 3 other friends were the only seniors attending these basketball home games, Marrisa and i talked about this issue throught the game and she also mentioned how the basketball cheerleaders chat football cheers and how annoying it is to hear the same chants and cheers all year. I think for the cheerleards that thy are lacking alot of originality but as school spirit goes a good majority of every garade was there with the exception of the seniors.

CHRISTMAS

Winter break this year will be quite interesting considering the lack of snow on the ground and we are missing out on the annual winter storm this December. We are in the middle of the month of December and whats left of the snow form the "snow storm" we had previously during thanksgiving break its all mostly gone just melted away. It doesn't even feel like christmas without the snow for the holidays i feel like im living in Georgia.

FIRST WEST POINT MEET

Last week the eldred varsity winter track team attended the first track meet held at gills field house in the army academy base and village of west point. The meet was pretty melo, basic for a first regulation track meet all the normal events took place, high jump, long jump, tripple jump , polevault, 1500m, 1000, 800, 600, 400, 200 , 100, 55, 4X800 relay, 4X400 relay, 4X200 meter relay and the 4X100 meter relay

Friday protesters were standing up for there rights as citizens and their rights to have a steady income and not have there money taken away from them from new increased higher tax rates. Protesters insist on having the goverment and "bank" pay for there excess taxes and increases amounts. During the peace full protest police officers decided to take it upon them self's to restraint and to pepper spray some rowdy protesters, then ripped phones out of the innocent by standards video taping the incident.

Houston mail carriers are first in the nation

I personally find it surprising that dogs actually do attack postal workers. There have always been stereotypes concerning this expressed through numerous TV shows, movies, and comics. This study has shown that there is reality in some stereotypes. The other thing im surprised about is the fact the New York City is not within the top 10 cities of dog attacks. Among the top ten are cities like Houston, Los Angeles, and Cleveland.

But there were many things that could have easily have been a real weapon. I personally believe that social media controls our day to day lives now. People can't go a day without checking their Facebooks, twitters, Instagrams. With these constant checking it has led to more and more people relying on social media to be more biased about peoples views. Just because you see something on a social media site now does now mean that person believes in that ideal or even posted it. These days its a common thing to "hack" someones Facebook or twitter to change things on there post things that the owner of the account doesn't even believe in.

Woman survives 45 minutes with no pulse

After giving birth to her newborn, Carlie Brown layer under the close watch of 4 doctors before determined dead. She was first determined dead after 4 minutes of giving birth to her baby, and then 45 minutes later while family members sat around her she started seizing. This is when multiple doctors were called in to determine what had gone wrong and what they could do to save Carlie. Well after 6 days of treatment Carlie was able to return home to her newborn and her family without any serious brain injuries.

American freed by North Korea wanted pizza

After being in imprisonment for six years in North Korea, Kenneth Bae had an undying wish for american food. He said to his sister "He said, 'I don't want Korean food, that's all I've been eating for the last two years,'" Terri Chung said Sunday outside her Seattle church. "We had a late night eating pizza." Bae was serving a 15-year sentence for alleged anti-government activities., he was sentenced to prison after giving a military tour on  North Korea economic zone. The North Koreans did not find a liking to his words as he describe the state of their country. He was thrilled and sentenced for 15 years in north korea, but recently Obama met with the North Korean government and discussed terms for replacement of Kenneth Bae.

Massachusetts town weighs nation's 1st tobacco ban

Massachusetts being one of the first democratic based states to place a ban on selling tobacco products in the first tobacco free town in the isa. The board of health came together to meet and discuss the issue with mayor and concluded the meeting with the official ban of the sale of tobacco products within town lines "Westminster the first municipality in the United States to ban sales of all tobacco products within town lines."To my knowledge, it would be the first in the nation to enact a total ban," said Thomas Carr, director of national policy at the American Lung Association. "We commend the town for doing it."

Balloons symbolize fall of Berlin Wall

Citizens of Berlin released over 7,000 balloons into the sky sunday night, many balloons carrying messages of hope in a new start to mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of the berlin wall that once separated berlin into two cities. "For peace and freedom," Berlin mayor Klaus Wowereit famous words from a speech he delivered to the crowd of celebrating citizens, this crowd ranged from tens of thousands of berlin citizens celebrating the re birth of their city since november9, 1989. These balloons also meant symbolic meanings to the 138 people who died throughout the berlin wall back in 1989. "It was about reclaiming freedom, about being citizens, not subjects," Merkel said during the ceremony at the main memorial site.

Mexico: Burned remains probably are 43 missing

Friday investigators questioned multiple suspects of the disappearance/kidnapping/homicide of 43 missing college students, these suspects admitted to loading the college students into dump trucks and taking them to landfills where they murdered them there, then burning their bodies and dumping their ashes into the nearby river. Theses students have been missing since september 26, detectives have fished out charred fragments of bones and teeth from the river and are unable to determine the dan of the charred victims. There will be a memorial and a ceremony after the case is concluded with enough viable evidence against those guilty of this crime and there is a clear body count, totaled  by the remains.

5th teen dies following Washington school shooting

The last surviving victim of the Seattle School shooting has not officially been confirmed dead friday. Andrew Fryberg age 15 was the 5th student to die, the other victims were shot and died immediately on the scene once they were hospitalized the emt's reported that they couldn't have saved them even if they arrived within the first minutes. The shooter was a popular freshmen that attended Marysville-Pilchuck High School, Jaylen Fryberg died of a self inflicted wound, investigators say he was believed to be depressed.

Man catches on fire atop train in Connecticut

On of the latest storys is breaking news in Connecticut a man catches fire on top of a moving subway train, When the local fire department succored the fire arrived they gave news reporters the details. In Grennwhich Conneticut a man was hospitalized after he had catched fire on a New York City bound computer subway train at 5 AM. The only way the crew members of the train found him was because they were looking for the source where the power was being lost. The investigators and investigating how the man got up there and got caught in the overhead electrical wires. There were 20 passenger on this train which had to transfer on to another metro north train to reach there location.

Mexican president condemns violent protests after attack on palace

                 A horrific tragedy of 43 apparent student murders in Mexico "struck a chord" in the citizens of Mexico City. On Sunday Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto that all protested will be ceased and or "condemned" due to the recent massacre during theses violent protests. The records show that "tens of thousand" mexican protesters filled the streets of mexico city, mostly student protesters filled the streets and many were abducted and killed with "street gangsters" working for and with the police. Due to this outbreak manny were locked up in a way to order and control these student organizations from reaching an out break again, even peacefull protests have been banned. Ukraine rebels say more remains found at MH17 site

Ukraine rebels/separationists in the middle east have recently found more human remains from flight MH17 due to the Malaysia Airlines plane crash in July. Remains were discovered during the removal of the wreckage from the crash. Members from nearby communities joined together to create a memorial ceremony where they buried the unrecognizable bodies together in remembrance. The Ukraine rebels control the land where the crash occurred so due to landmines, motor shells, and unexploded mines the rebels and separationists will be control in the disposal of all wreckage. News reporters of near by communities will have hourly updates on behave of the remains, missing bodies , and the families.

Carlesha returned

I love Carlesha Freeland-Gaither the woman abducted last week, attack was caught on camera, and she was found alive. Her family was relived to hear the wonderful news that Carlesha would in fact be reunited with them soon. Her attacker was found to be one of her obsessive ex boyfriends who which still lives in Maryland. In fact he is one of the main reasons Carlesha moved out of Maryland and to Philadelphia to her current residency . Carlesha had disappeared for 48 hours, when police found her abandoned and raped practically left to die in an alley way.

Ebola Survivor

Amber Vinson, a nurse at the Texas Health Presbyterian hospital in Dallas, was one of the many nurses who cared for Thomas Eric Duncan. Mr.Duncan was the first american citizen who had contracted the deadly Ebola virus. Amber Vinson worked the night shift where she did the little tasks and watched over Mr.Duncan while he slept. After a few days of caring for Mr.Duncan Amber started to show symptoms of the deadly virus which lead her medical staff to believe she had also contracted Ebola but not from travelling in and out of Africa she contracted the virus from Mr.Duncan. This confirms that the deadly Ebola virus is in fact viral and possibly airborne.

Pal says Ottawa gunman wanted to go to Middle East, seemed 'mentally ill'

New information has been confirmed on the Ottawa shooting and murder of Nathin Cirillo, 25 married and father of a 6 year old boy. Gunman Michael Zehaf-Bibeau did infact have contact a terrorist plots carried out with ISIS. Not only was Zehaf-Bibeau found guilty of communication with terroristic groups controlled by ISIS in Syria, but he had also made plans to travel to Syria shortly after the attack and murder of Nathin Cirillio. Good thing the military took things into their own hands during the sniper attack, or else Michael Zehaf-Bibeau would have possibly gotten away. Infact law enforcement and local police took 20 minutes to respond to the scene which is more then enough time for a terrorist like  Michael Zehaf-Bibeau to get away, and in fact travel to the Syrian government and meet with ISIS.

Canadian guard killed by gunman remembered as patriot, hero

Recently a Canadian guard was shot down by a sniper, and was put to rest Friday and remembered as a patriot, hero. Nathin Cirillo was just 25 years old and was gunned down "while holding an empty rifle and performing one of Canada's most sacred ceremonial duties, standing sentry at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the National War Monument on Parliament Hill."  He was married and was a father of a little 6 year old boy, it was a tragedy witnesses said, the man responsible was arrested on site. He will be remembered as a patriotic symbol protecting his country, may he R.I.P.

The Al Qaeda-linked Nusra Front and other Syrian rebels launched random attacks on army checkpoints,governors offices , and police stations in northwest Syria. 20 climbers dead, 5 missing on Nepal mountains struck by blizzard, avalanches

At approximately fifty five thousand ft climbers competing in the nepalition international mountain climbers association were hit by a grusum blizzard/ winter storm. This blizzard resulted into a series of avalanches and had left 20 competitive climbers dead and 5 undiscovered bodies still remain out in the aftermath of the storm and its avalanches causing brutal loss of snow on the Nepal Mountain slopes. Hundreds of volunteers have been sent on on an expedition search to discover and recover these lost climbers, so that they can return the news to the lost climbers loved ones and family members. Police and military have sent out searches as well as in result of this deadly blizzard.
